I've given away a horse and he stayed there the rest of his life. No buy back clause, it was my best friend so it was like he stayed in the family.

I bought Beauty and the seller put a buy back clause in the sales contract. I almost leased her out once on a breeding lease - well, she was bred and the lady was going to keep the foal, but my situation changed and I didn't need to do that. I never had to consider selling her and I had her for 17 years (until she died) so it wasn't ever an issue.

The rest of my horses have stayed with me their whole lives. I've been lucky to be able to do that, even with the "useless" ones.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

People with true credibility and integrity don't need to tell other people how great they are. They also don't need to belittle other people to feel superior.
