Sorry!  I took off to a BBQ with my Dad yesterday.  I specifically specialized in getting young horses ready to ride from un- or barely handled to ready to mount and go (plus all of the other accoutrements like tieing, bathing, clipping).  I did a lot of that.  I also had the good luck to be the one that had to start some of them. haha  On some of the young horses I also gave their owners lessons on how to handle them safely, how to round pen, saddle, horsie thoughts etc etc.  Every year I had some ranches with a bunch of wild weanlings that needed to be halter broke, clipped and cleaned for sales pictures and whatnot.  Hmmm, so I guess, long answer short - young horses, mostly though on occasion there has been some older horses thrown in the mix, as well.  heh  I drove to wherever they were.  I charged a flat rate plus gas and time to get there.  I've been working on getting my ammy status back, so have been very very careful to not accept payment anymore.  I do still manage to train some, but they've been mine or people I know that I do for the fun of it.  This year I'm working on my own plus a gelding that I will be doing at the end of the month.  He needs to be finished in Western pleasure for the 1/2 Arab show ring.   Ellie has 10 rides on her now (YAY) and I think I'll probably get another 8 on her before the end of the month.

and thanks for saying I'm nice.

ETA:  I felt like bragging for a minute... lol  I had one of my young horses end up being  Congress Champion (x2) and  NSBA champion (x2) this last year.  I was so very proud of him because he was NOT a very good boy when I first came started with him.  It was neat that the owner called me from the shows to tell me right away.  I'm going to take some pictures some of her young stock next month (for free, just as something nice to do).  One of them is a full sister to another of her yearlings that I did years back.  I'm looking forward to it!
