I'd prefer to rule out other possibilities before putting her through a surgery with potential for infection and incontinence. Not that she won't eventually be spayed but we're not in a panic over it right now. Aside at the barn she's always under supervision, and none of the neighbouring houses around the farm even have dogs.
This behaviour also popped up after a huge change in diet as well (been on Beneful/alpo like products since a puppy - now on orijin and meat) so I would like to rule out any of those issues too. Before a huge arguement breaks out, there are also other members on this forum with intact dogs who are also careful not to keep their dogs unsupervised.
She has no other 'neurotic' behaviours unless you count sounding like a scary as fuck animal when someone comes on the porch/knock on the door. But having been broken into twice before we very much appreciate the intimidating factor. Obviously no actual proof but people don't hang around the porch for long and since having the dogs we haven't had robbery issues (used to find a window or two jimmied).
