Out of hundreds of dogs I've seen, bitches or not, like... 5 or 6 had incontinence issues which was EASILY solved with a small pill every other or every third day for maintenance.
But I've seen a lot more mammary gland cancers, but I can't say for certain when ALL of their spay dates were.



The spay procedure KOTJ is a procedure in Canada very frequently performed, even on a mature dog. With a good vet your gal should (there's ALWAYS a risk) pull out of it fine, I would ensure they do IV fluids and ECG and BP monitoring. It's also a great time to get her hips (and knees and elbows if you wish) re-evaluated!
