I'm on the 'spay/neuter is not all it's been touted to be' front, too, but in this case, spay the dog. If she's loose AT ALL you will end up with an 'oops' litter. Males will travel miles to get to her, so unless you can keep her confined inside a house, on a leash, or secure kennel run with a roof, she is going to end up pregnant. When I had an intact female, I had two males from nearly 5 and 7 miles away appear on my front lawn and bay and howl for days.
I've seen dogs bred through a chain link fence, and ones that have gone through windows, chewed through doors, tunneled under fences, and climbed 10-foot masonry walls. If the male wants her bad enough, he will get to her if you aren't watching her 100% of the time.
At least when good breeders have an oops, they still end up with a good-quality, marketable dog. Your dog, if this is the one I'm remembering, is a mix and has some pretty severe conformational issues that DO NOT need to be propogated.
