If you've ever worked a horse 'trained' by someone who thought they were doing 'join up' when they were actually chasing a frightened horse until he was too tired to resist further, you know the difference it can make. One animal will start learning to trust the human, the other to fear him.  Timing and feel is everything, as is body language.  You don't get that with a remote car.  All that's doing is chasing the horse until he stops, not trying to communicate to him.
