Reach, what happened to Kelsey? I missed the story there.

Breathing issues that got progressively worse to the point where she wasn't comfortable as a pasture puff on meds. I made the decision to put her down before the winter as I didn't want to be stuck finding a way to make it happen in January with the ground frozen. I also never wanted to see her look like the stereotypical 'heaves horse'. She came from too bad of a situation for me to ever want her to know another day of suffering.
I'm so sorry, I know you really loved her. Thanks for sharing.

How is G-Po?

Thanks you, it was hard but the right decision for her.

G-po is doing well - I sold her shortly after buying Kelsey to a friend of mine where she does the occasional hack/lesson for a few of her neighborhood kids. She unfortunately had her first bought of laminitis earlier this summer, but it was caught very quickly and she's on the mend. She porked up a little since being out of regular work and I think that combined with fresh spring grass was her downfall. She turned 20 in February and hasn't mellowed even the tiniest bit with age LOL.

You can't have temperament on horses. When something doesn't go well, you quickly get upset... that's not for horses, that's for husbands. ~ George Morris
