I interned at that rescue. The mare lived her last years pampered to death we would separate the leaves from the peanut and alfalfa stems for her and her companion to eat. They were let out to wander about the yard between the barns to hang out and be loved on. She looked amazing for her age and history. Well actually different horse I remember the one I knew was Penelope, who is also on the memorandum page. Still this rescue is amazing.

Look back on our struggle for freedom,
