Sunday I had a surprisingly great ride on Sheldon the Anglo-Arab in my profile picture. I got to borrow my grandmother's dressage saddle for my flat lesson and it made a hug difference for me lol. It definitely made a difference when it came to sitting his god awful trot that's for sure. So anyway this is a horse who is lazy and quite stiff, so I was incredibly happy when I could feel him giving me good impulsion, especially at the canter I could feel him working from behind even if he wasn't quite on the bit. And when I finally convinced him that going on the vertical was a good thing, I was quite proud of myself and so was my instructor (I tend to be shy in my hands, but at least Sheldon is light on the bit, unlike some other school horses there that will practically tear your hand off saklfj)
Look at dis pretty pony!

At the end of the lesson, when we let them trot while gradually loosening the reins so they can stretch their necks out
