2012 goals were pretty much not overdraw my bank account, and maybe jump Pearl without getting massively popped out of the tack--we made it and then some.

In 2013, I want us to
--continue improving our flatwork. We've started working on some baby lateral work this fall and it's helped the quality of our gaits tons.
--get comfortable jumping a course on her. We're totally fine doing lines and stringing them together eventually after schooling them individually a million times first, but I want to be able to jump the line and then get through the turn without thinking holycrap whereisournextjump whatarewedoing we'renotgoingtogetthelead whatifshetakesoff ahhhhhh. I know she can do it and I know I can do it, now time to get over this weird hangup.
--in keeping with the first two, take more lessons on Pearl. Once a month if finances/timing allow it.

This is less a goal and more a thing-I-need-to-do but I want to get some x-rays done of at least her hocks, more views if I can swing it. She's getting to the age where she may be starting to get creaky and I want to keep on top of it.

And also since I'm now Tommy's primary rider, might as well nail down some goals for him too.
--convince him that working is FUN. He's a very smart cookie and gets bored/sour easily. Since we're now working on some more advanced stuff rather than just keeping him slow and calm for his owner, we can mix it up a bit more for him.
--help teach each other! He's the first baby I've worked with over fences (under trainer supervision of course!) and I'm enjoying the experience. He loves having a new job and he's going to make up really cute.
