This past year I got Archie to more shows. I guess my goal for the past season was to participate in a local horse show club and try to win at least one division for the end of the year awards. After the first show I decided to narrow that down to the junior WP since it was Archie's last year as a junior horse.

We did win it (we actually wound up winning the jr WP class at every show) and won the adult walk-trot division for the season too. I also got a second in adult WP and a third in trail, so the season ended up better than I had planned, which is great.

I had wanted a good year this past year since I am not certain how the next year (or 3) will go since I'm moving. I don't know what sort of shows will be near me when I move, or if I'll even be able to afford showing at all. So I guess my goals will just be to keep teaching Archie new skills. I want to get better at trail with him, as well as other pattern classes like horsemanship and showmanship. I'd also like to be able to trail ride him some for experience outside the arena. And actually, if I could find something close enough, I'd even like to take him to some sort of cow sorting. But like I said, I have no clue what will be close by, if anything. When I'm visiting it doesn't "feel" like a horsey area, if that makes sense.
