So I got to the barn and my BO was on the phone with the Vet Raven was down in the stall.
Abby and I run over and take a look. There she is laying all pretty with her legs tucked up eating hay. Happy as a clam.
Im like WTF? But it came out more like Wfafs dthes Fuuookes because my mouth was still numb coming from my own dentist appointment. (Broken tooth gone, 2 old fillings replaced! I went by myself and I didn't cry at all.)
BO said: I hadn't seen her yet. My husband called me to come down from the house.
I told her it was no biggie because we were doing a float today anyway.
Vet walks in and says: Well she looks happy this morning.
With a firm tug of the halter, a push on the butt, Up she came.
Got her lightly drugged up, in the head slingy thing and she said No.
No, very firmly.
She started rearing up and flinging herself around.
I talked to her and took her out of the head thing. Moved my chair over and let her rest her face on my shoulder,
While Doc was getting more dopy juice.
She was standing so quietly we decided to give it a try as we were standin,g as we didnt want more drugs.
Float was completed with no further drama.
So apparently Raven is like me and needs someone to hold her hand.
Before and afters. I have no clue what I am looking at and they pretty well look the same to me.
Doc said she had a bunch of bad ulcers in the mouth and her teeth were terrible.
I don't know. Im not a dentist.
