My Recent Posts
Just Board, Shoes and food= £2724 for 2 horses
DIY Livery for 2 horses £120 x 12 = £1440
Insurance for 2 horses £50 x 12= £600
Farrier for 2 horses every 6 weeks £96 x 9= £864
Feeds/hay/supplements/straw average over 12 months £35 x 12= £420 (next to nothing in summer, a lot more in winter but averaged)
Replacing/cleaning rugs and tack (averaged over 12 months) £30 x 12=£360
Wormers every season on average £24 x 4= £96 (but could be cheaper, can't remember)
Smooth runnings, no emergency costs per annum (ex vaccinations) £3780 for both horses
I am feeling a bit faint....
have also had the following vet expenses this year which have not been able to be claimed on insurance:
Bella colic scare (no colic)= £87
Bella vaccinations and examine for foot abscess (same accounting period) = £68
Bella eye infection= £208.00 (put claim in, no response yet 2 months later, have changed insurance company)
Solo laminitis= £167.00
Solo thought was eye infection, turned out to be tapeworm £197.00 (not yet put in claim) = £727 in extra fees since Nov 07
Solo vaccinations- no bill yet
