Oh Gosh... Colic is scary. Keep an eye on him. If he poops, that is a VERY good sign. Put your ear to his stomach and listen for noises. If you can hear gurgling, thats a good thing... the more the better. Listen in several different areas (farther forward and closer to his flank). If you have Banamine paste, give him a half-dose.

Watch for him to kick at his stomach, bite at his stomach, flatten his ears, swish his tail violently. You will KNOW if he is in pain. These won't just be little "fly stomps" they will be more like "hornet sting stomps".

If he lies down, watch for lots of rolling, tail swishing, belly biting, pinned ears. Let him lie down unless he is rolling. If he is, then get him up and keep him on his feet.

Has he had any changes in his diet? Has he gotten into anything odd? If so, these could both be causes of colic and you will want to watch for it in the future.

Best of luck, and PLEASE give us updates. Stay calm and watch him. No need to panic.
