I've had 2 to impaction colic this summer due to the heat & grass being very dry.

I gave mine a warm water enema & they came right out of it after a short while.
One I only gave a gallon, but the other I had to give 2 gallons. If you feel the vet won't be able to come out in time, I'll post instructions on how to give your horse an enema. It's easy to do even if they've never had it done before as there's no pain involved & the horse really doesn't seem to mind. I've cured all my colics by giving mine an enema whether it was summer or winter.
