Thanks, everyone! How dark do you think I can get a light bridle? I've put on a few coats of neatsfoot oil on now and it's certainly darkened, but it certainly won't get to Havana. Should I pay to get it dyed?

Are you in a major hurry? It will probably take a few days of oiling it with light coats until it gets as dark as you want, leather will only absorb so much oil at a time. Oil it and use it. Then clean it and oil it and use it. Eventually it will be dark. And nice and supple.
