have you had success with this, Pen? This bridle is quite high end.. Over $600 with reins... I cannot ruin it.
Yes I have when in a pinch to darken something a little faster than what regular oiling will accomplish. Depending on the amount of time I have before using the piece, I either dye or darken with this process. The key is to add a small amount to darken the oil, preferably a tea color. If it is quality leather, it won't hurt it a bit. In fact, it is less likely to work on crap leather.
