Let's see if I can remember my kit without looking at the other lists. My must-haves/most frequently used are in bold:

Digital thermometer
Stethoscope
Digital watch (with pulse-counter)
rubber gloves
nonstick pads
LOTS of gauze sponges
trauma scissors (the blunt-end kind RNs/EMTs use)
Vetrap/Elastikon
Cotton roll
Betadine
Saline spray
Sugar (for making sugardine paste)
Bute paste
Banamine paste (or injectible for oral use)
Large catheter-tip syringes (great for giving oral meds such as dissolved SMZs and DMSO to picky horses)
40ml luer-lock syringes + blunt fill needles (for pulling up injectable banamine for PO delivery)
Duct tape
Corona ointment
MTG (for greasy heel/scratches)
SWAT (fly-repellant)
Alushield (aluminum spray-on bandage)

No-bows and standing wraps are also a must-have, IMO.
