I know his whole life story for the most part. I'll try to get it all in order. He was rejected by his dam and bottle/bucket raised by a lady named T. He grew very quickly. I think his size scared her. She sent him out for training. Trainer pushed him too hard to fast and he mentally shut down. He was sent to another trainer. This trainer ran into issues and flipped him over repeatedly. He as now sore and a bit nutty. He then became sick with PHF. He stayed at MSU for some time. When he finally came home, he had ulcers and was near impossible to get him to gain/hold weight. He was moved from barn to barn with different trainers. He was labeled "dangerous" and "crazy". If you could ride him and made contact with his mouth, he would flip over. The owner was terrified of him. He would walk all over her, bite, kick... whatever he wanted. She had raised him as an "equal" and he acted like a spoiled brat. Owner was running out of options. She tried to give him away but nobody wanted to handle him. She hired my friend B to try working with him. B shows foundation QHs but was willing to do the ground work. She put 45 days of REAL basic ground work. We had discussed options since "she doesn't do crazy". They also had the chiropractor out for some adjustments. B and T were both not willing to actually ride him. T then gave the gelding to B for board and training (with the agreement that I would take him). B has no interest in owning him. She just wants me to sell him to re-coup her fees. I got him May 2012. He has been lightly for sale on and off. I think he is finally ready to find his own person/home. When he got here, he was very thin. They were trying everything under the sun to get weight on him. They then found out the barn was NOT feeding him his feed. Plus, he has ulcers. He looked like crap. I only all him rescue because our farm was his last chance. If I had refused him, he was going to be euthed. I don't call him a rescue because of his weight. He is a SUPER hard keeper but we are working out the best feed program we can find for him. I am sure I left parts out. Feel free to ask questions. Sorry for the WOT.
