Lunged them both yesterday. It was cold and windy. So I thought it might be wise.

Kalli was great.

Izzy bucked, rared and caprioled like a bloody rodeo bronk for 15 minutes. If she ever does that whilst I am riding I am in big trouble .

When I rode both. I just did walk, trot, halt, reinback transitions. Both were very good girls.

Today I decided I was going to teach Izzy to lead off Kalli. This was probably a bit silly because Kalli had never had a horse lead off her before and Izzy has never been lead off another horse before. But oh well. You have to start somewhere.

The first Kilometer was a bit scary. Izzy was excellent. Kalli kept getting frightenned by Izzy and the rope. She kept sucking in her tail and darting off. I just kept talking to her insisting she just walk forward and patting her.

After about a km she settled into it beautifully. By the time I rode home. They were walking, trotting, halting and turning together like they had been doing it for 10 years together.

Tommorrow I am planning on doing some flatwork with them both.
