You can always throw treats on the ground so she doesn't develop any child nipping or trampling habits later on.

I'm biased on that subject because I just spent quite a bit of time getting two horses better about being caught without bribery and leading without running people over (just to send them back to the person who taught him how to run people over by encouraging him to be pushy for treats to stick their faces in a halter that way). No treats initially meant spin and bolt when presented with a halter, that was fun *ahem* I'm just going to trust you don't do that.

All horses are going to be a little different but should come around as a good foundation is developed thoughtfully.
