The latest product I saw stateside made much more sense. It was a normal shoe with a heavy cloth (canvas???) fused to the metal. The fabric was glued on and the hoof wrapped with the clear stuff you can use for boats (only the small 3" version). Horse did not have to be tranqued, shoes did not have to be nailed on, no ugly plastic on the bottom. Was much more practical than that.


Certainly not something for every horse and horse-owner, but certainly not something to condemn yet.
