I've seen them.  I know precisely what they're like. Some of the girls who work for me have those and also the proper Dubarry ones.  Indeed my wife has those.  We don't ride "hunt seat" either.

But if I'm doing groundwork training with a young horse I change into steel toe cap dealer boots and when I ride I put on riding boots.   It takes 2 second to change boots.
