I sent my farrier the link a few days ago, she was looking into it -- she found a source where it was $96US and that was either per shoe or per pair (we're not sure)... Pretty unrealistic at that price.

LSRD, they were referring to another product that takes 15min to dry. Their product only takes 3 minutes. Even if they were being a little dramatic, if your time is cut to 1/5th it is certainly more efficient.

LadyVet, what product is that? The source link to the picture is also a UK link which makes me think it's also only available in the UK...
I don't remember the product name, it was at a farrier/vet CE course in December last year that I saw it.  It looks like the one I posted, but it is available in the USA.

The foot is shaped, and the shoe is cold fit to the foot (they can change the shape without heating the shoe so they don't melt the fiberglass).  The tricky thing was learning how to wrap it with the plastic.  The expert could do it in under 10 min per hoof including trimming.  And he wrapped it in less than 10 seconds.  For the people still learning, it took a bit longer to place and glue the shoe, and wrap it appropriately.
