^^ I see both of your points, but I also see the care my horse is getting. I keep a good eye on what's going on wherever my horse is and will continue to. I just can't bring myself to see this as a huge red flag.
I thought the quarantine was funny, but it's more than any barn I've ever been at does. It's about a week and she keeps an eye out for any blatant illness. (And trust me, I know very well this boards stance on quarantine and what's appropriate. I also know that what the barn did does not meet those standards.) The stalls do have metal on the horizontal surfaces, and the fence has a strand of wire. He's chewing the vertical support beams on the stall wall and the bottom rail of the fence. He is being fed enough hay that he is never without.
Again, I understand what you guys are saying, but everything is so great out there, I'm not getting worked up over this.
