Thank you, Goflip, for trying to sort out Miss Woolford's attempts to find a horse for me.  Each of those links had something I wouldn't want in a horse...whether it was shipping too far, a mare, too big, gaited, or some health issue (such as needing special feed).  I also don't want a horse that's been "out to pasture" for several years or a horse that's good "except for occasional encounters with big vehicles."

And really, how many horses have I had?  How many members here have had multiple horses?  Quite a few.  My pasture will support 4, I can feed, vet, and keep good farrier care for up to 4 horses.  I can even afford to put more training on them while they're here.  I've NEVER had a horse leave my care in worse condition than when it arrives, so not sure what the issue is.  Even if Chip is THE horse for me, I doubt we'll ever have just two horses...

Also, in terms of the horses I choose to buy...I've never been hurt by a horse.  I don't get stepped on or bucked off.  I can catch my horses.  I can trailer my horses anywhere.  I've never had to get rid of a horse because he or she is dangerous...I don't see how the decisions I make concerning horses are cause for any major concern.  If the horse turns out to not be "right" for me, as Goflip said, it's my money.

Do I KNOW for a fact that Chip will work out?  Nope.  But he's way more suited for MP work than Holly, I wanted a gelding, I wanted a taller horse, I wanted a laid back personality.  He has those qualities.  Now, in a year, I might decide he's too laid back or too tall...or I might be recovering from hip surgery...but again, MY money.

As for selling Holly... I don't have to be in a hurry and, in fact, until Chip is ready for his first MP event, I kind of need Holly.  That said, I have a prospective buyer coming to see her tomorrow.

Now, the nice thing would be to do what AFP did...say "ooh, fun floofy looking horse"...maybe say Enjoy!  or Congrats on the new horse! or Good luck!
