Carhartts are like the unofficial uniform of every rancher in the West, go to a hay or livestock auction and it is a sea of Carhartts. Good heavy work pants, coats, overalls, coveralls more so in the winter months.

When they are new they are about the consistency of cardboard, they can take a lot if abuse. The originals are more of a signature orangey/brown color but they come in lots of colors lately.

I have the arctic Carhartts that just about make me sweat in below 0 (f) temps (-17c?), pretty handy in blizzard conditions.
