I've pretty much found that NPR (at least on the hours I'm generally listening- 4pm to 4am) is more BBC-type newscasts- it covers the whole world, does interviews with locals in each situation as it can. They've had interviews with parents and Army and politicians in Nigeria, interviews with Canadians regarding the recent Toronto mayor thing (I think that's right), interviews of citizens and politicians in India... all very balanced and more open that American media seems to be.

In contrast, Resistance Radio was on last night- I listened for a while and started hearing banjos.
