I never really cared much about riding with others so I didn't mind having them at home. The biggest issue for me was no arena, which is no longer an issue as my mom had one built.... except that now that there is one, I'm no longer living at home. Of course.. Lol

If I rode with people it's usually when I went to horse shows or met up with people and went trail riding or something. I loved having the horses at home. I don't mind boarding, and it's nice being able to go somewhere if I need to and know he's being cared for, but it was never an issue for us to find someone to watch out horses at home so that wasn't a big deal. What I really dislike about boarding is just that it's not my place, and I always feel like there are things I can't do because of that.

I think if I'm ever able to built my own barn, I'd have enough room to board just a few horses, only for people I know personally, so that if I did want some riding company I'd have some, but there wouldn't be a ton of horses to be responsible for.
