I hate having people coming out to my farm to look at horses. The best sales I've had were to people I "knew" over the internet. Folks I networked with on varying interest lists.

I find whenever people come out to look they are NEVER able to ride as they represented themselves. It's nerve wracking and I can't stand it. I'm so glad I don't have to sell anything right now and hopefully ever.

Then... heaven forbid you forget about some stupid little habit your horse has... and the perspective buyer sees the horse doing it... well OMGOSH!!! "YOU DIDN'T MENTION THAT!!!". Well that's because I totally forget he or she does that insignificant silly little thing. What's the big dang deal.

Too many people expect horses to be practically inanimate. They should NEVER move if being hosed or fly sprayed, NEVER pick up their head for any reason and the list goes on. Geez folks I'm just not that authoritarian over every move my animals make.

I'm amazed how frightened of horses so many buyers seem to be. It seems like any movement by the horse freaks them out.

Ahhh yes... I dont miss it at all!!!
