Wow, that would NOT be okay with me mulerider. Who does that? Like you're a babysitter or something?

I thought of another bad experience.

I had a 5 yr old QH gelding for sale. Very fast, nice turns, ready to be patterned on barrels. He wasn't run into the ground with training and I was asking $4000.

People kept asking if he was safe for little kids. Um, no? On the lead-line yes, but you know that's not what they're talking about.

So this guy comes out to the see the horse for his friend's 11 yr old. I kept telling him, the horse is not for a beginner child to be let loose on, etc.

He acted like an authority on horses, but he was a bus driver. No work with horses as all. He asked my friend who boards her horse at my house whether she was the slutty girl from the bus. WTF?

Then he picked up my horses foot, wouldn't give it back when he lost balance, and caused him to fall onto his KNEES on the concrete in the tie up area! I could have smacked him. I was so mad! Thanks for ruining my horses knee maybe? Oh my word.

So I tack him up and ride him around. He's really good, auto leads, but no cued changes yet, just a good trail/road-savvy/dressage into level/jumps 2 feet bareback kind of horse. Worth $4000 to the right person. And he starts asking me if the horse does this and that and this and that. I was like, If he knew all that, I'd be asking a lot more than $4000. Like flying lead changes are these things that are high-level Dressage movements.

I had made the decision to say no if he wanted to purchase the horse, but he never called back. I was quite glad.
