I admire your restraint. I don't think I could have done that. I've made people cry on accident before but that would really challenge me to do it on purpose. And the thought of the band director being condescending to anyone is a little sad. Dude, you teach HS band for cryin' out loud, don't make someone's mother kick your ass.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

Poor hubby spends more time trying to talk me down than anything, but damn... they're not working on a cure for cancer! Little news flash here... this is JUST high school! I have always been known as unflappable and even a doormat (though in my own quiet way I really never have let people walk all over me), but the past year or two I've had it. I made the lady at the school transportation dept cry last spring when I lit into her for them eliminating my daughters bus stop... without notifying us. Somebody needed to cry, and it wasn't going to be me, and it won't be me in this case either.

Just picked her up from practice (14 hours at the school), she grew a backbone and got her change to get dinner. But she also informed me we need to pay $90 for shoes, $100 for part of the Fiesta Bowl trip, and $50 "band fee" - $240 TOTAL by Friday. I told her "that's OK, Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday!". She really claims to love it and wants to continue. Sigh.
