What the hell is twirl? Is it where they run around with those ribbons on sticks? This "sport", if that's what it's supposed to be, sounds like a total waste of time. My parents were lucky that when I was a teenager all I wanted was to come home from school, eat and then read my books or draw and be left alone.
I had no interest in staying after school for anything. I joined the National Art Honor Society once and then never went to one meeting because I couldn't stand the throught of being at school even longer than I already was.

Maybe you could talk to your daughter and find out how she really feels about it. If you're lucky she might not really care at all and maybe she wouldn't mind switching to a cheaper activity. Of course, if she does love it then, just like PPM said, you're pretty much screwed.
