That reminds me... The lady that came on Sunday brought her whole entourage with her (I think it was 5-6 people including her & her trainer). Anyhow they want to see my horse move so we walk down the street to the arena. A horse is in there but the guy that owns it kindly removes it so I can turn my horse loose. After Cash is done running the trainer snaps the lead back onto him and says she wants to ride him now. I said no prob we can take him back to the barn to saddle him up & get his bridle. Nope she wants to just hop on bareback in a halter. On a Greenbroke Mustang. Umm... nope, sorry. No can do. I'm not goint to take that liability. Cash doesn't even know these people so thats a lot to ask of him. He's only been ridden bareback twice that I know of & it was atleast 6 months ago. And then I got to have fun watching them try to play Parelli games with him on the ground in the arena. They kept saying 'Look, he knows Parelli. He's been Parelli trained'! Umm, nope. I've done some Clinton Anderson work with him but what you are seeing is just good ground manners & a willing horse. *Sigh* Have I mentioned that I hate selling horses? Love buying - hate selling.
This could be a whole new topic/debate!! I have been buying forever and it sucks too. I'll say, when a buyer shows up and they seem "timid" around your horse ... that could be ME. Want to know why? Because I have looked at many a horse to only be told things like, "NO! Don't touch him there!" and "He doesn't like it when you do a seated trot -- don't do that -- he only like when you do a 2 point." and I could go on and on and on.

Don't get me wrong, I love to hear ever quirk about a horse ... really! It's just that the way I'm told and the moments I am told leave a bit to be desired. If a horse is head shy, please tell me prior to me putting the bridle on - thanks!

Also, call me timid, but I've gotten on many a horse to only find out either after or during the ride that, "he hasn't been ridden in six months." or, "the last time I rode him he bucked me off."

So, that's a whole other bucket of worms!
