Oh believe me GM, there are TONS of horrors in buying horses. But atleast in buying you end up with a brand spanking new horse! There is just something about that brand new horse smell. Besides I really like riding new horses. I'm a pretty confident rider & there is not much I won't get on. Of course I have learned to make the owner ride first to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into. The thing I can't stand is when a buyer totally misrepresents a horse. Like the time I drove over 30 miles to see a Spotted Saddle Horse that turned out to not be gaited! Or the time I went to look at a "Beginner Safe TWH". Yea.... more like a Saddlebred with no gait that loved to rear, toss its head & bolt! I sent that person a long email after that ride telling them they where going to kill someone advertising the horse as beginner safe.
