We have a colt breaking program that draws folks that have ridden all their lives to folks that have never ridden. The colts are provided and they range from colts off of ranches that pay to have them started there, or mustangs adopted just for the college, then sold to the community at the adoption price later. The students get one horse per semester assigned to them, so they are the only one that rides that particular colt. Its pretty intense and very interesting. I submitted a colt the year my daughter went through the program and she did well with it. I let her sell the horse at the end of it and she made a good enough profit to continue going through the program another year. This was, of course along with her other studies in business administration.
