Practical Horseman's article was a bit biased. The screamed the fact that there was like 100 accidents this year compared to 10 in the previous years (numbers not accurate, just for show), and then buried in the text, they mentioned that the INCIDENCE RATE of accidents had actually DECREASED. It was just because there were 5 times more competitors now than 5 years ago that the number of accidents is higher. But they down played this fact as much as possible.

For example

100 cars on the road = 1 car accident a day (1% accident rate)

2yrs later

1000 cars on the road = 5 car accidents on the road. (0.5% accident rate)

The media goes OMG driving is becoming SO dangerous. When really, it has become safer on the road, because now the accident rate is 0.5%
