So my boyfriend was actually really enthusiastic about getting on Romeo for me. I was actually kind of embarrassed because by the end of the ride, he not only had the horse going forward nicely but he actually had him doing a little bit of side stepping and neck reining. Little bit of leg and a "lets go" and he had a really nice canter. He's not even wearing spurs. He didn't get the lead, but I don't really care about leads for right now.
I realize he looks like a freaking rag doll up there, but I can't argue with results. I can't really get too mad at him for being floppy since he collapsed his arches a while ago so his feet are very sore, and he's 6"3'. He knows he's floppy, but he says he can't help it because of his feet. I've never actually seen him ride when he's "sound" so I can't verify that. At least he knows. He'd probably kill me if he knew I was showing you guys the video of him riding so badly, lmao. I can sit here and critique his posture all day, but the bottom line is he got the results I didn't.
The same guy who was trying to talk me out of buying "a god damn appy" is now trying to convince me to let him buy the horse.
Anyway, here's the video.
