I rode him a few days ago and he was OK. It wasn't great, but I got what I wanted with less attitude than I usually get.

I got on him yesterday and he was UNBELIEVABLY bad. I started him on the lunge line. He'd go really good on the one side of me, and then when he got to the side closest to the door he'd either try to slow right down and stop, OR he'd just turn his ass to me and start booking it for the door.

I haven't given up on him, but for the meantime the both of us are shipping out to a trainer about 2hrs east of here. As long as I go work for the guy and ride his race horses for him, he's going to house/feed/train me and the horse.

I work with a lot of green/difficult horses with no problem, but he's just way too much horse for me to do on my own. On the bright side, I'm going to learn A LOT from this.
