I disagree about macs - partly because I love mine, and partly because they tend to be a lot less high maintenance than the average PC. I have a 1 year old macbook and a 2 year old Dell desktop, so I deal with both sides. I've had to do endless reformatting and fiddling with the PC (which is kind of fun, so I don't mind doing it) whereas the mac still has most of its factory settings (by choice, since they're in line with what I want it to do).

But about everything else (especially the anti-virus software!) you're right on. image Mind if I save this and send it to my dad?

ETA: My boyfriend says that macs are like the drunk bar stars of the computer world - "oh man, I'm going to go ask for her number" "dude, no, you're totally incompatible!" "but... she's so pretty!"
Oh, I think you're right...as long as they keep working, you probably don't need to mess with Macs as much. The problem for me is that, once they STOP working for any reason, there's nothing you can do to fix them! Back they go to Apple, for whatever Super Sekrit repairs they can make. *grin* I LOVE that drunk bar stars simile! I am totally going to use that one. That's awesome.

No, please go ahead and send to whoever you like!
