Yeah, he's built pretty stout and wouldn't produce a quality speed-type foal for you. If your mare is AQHA, why not try looking for a NICE TB stud to breed to?

I'm not one that relies on looking at a pedigree to see what a horse is bred for. My boy, pictured below, is foundation bred and he's doing well at western pleasure. Most of the horses in his pedigree are cow horses, halter horses, reiners, etc... Doesn't mean that's what he has to do. :-) And I won't say it doesn't have anything to do with their potential skills, I'm just saying that it's not always the main determining factor in what a horse will be good at.
