This is my first year doing dressage and I have no idea what the tests are. I need to go back to my trainer, if she is still in the area.

Guess I'll have to wait and see how well he and I do as for how far we'll go in dressage.

For a while he was acting up when I attempted to teach him something new. Turns out I was asking too much of him and confusing the holy heck out of him. Poor pony. Glad I figured that out as quickly as I did!

Peyton indeed has crooked front legs, they go in a few different directions, but all in all he moves out very well and doesn't get in the way of himself, most importantly he is very sound! I did wait until he was 4years to put weight on his back...was only on him a handful of times. When he was 5 I got on him some, but still didn't do much of anything with him until he was almost 6. I'm really glad I waited as he won't be broken down early, also he was not mentally ready for work until about a year ago. I've been so concerned about ruining this horse as I did my mares.

I do plan on doing hunter/jumpers with him as well, but I want a solid dressage background on him first. I have messed up both my mares, but Peyton is by far my best horse so...

Eventually I'll get all my horses home and I'll get some photos of me riding him. What I really want is to have a friend record my lessons for me as I'll be able to review them and learn from my mistakes....which will be many
