When I first moved here I had to stay in our motorhome until the house got remodeled but I'd brought the horses here first. One night I went to bed and all was quiet. Several hours later I was awoken by a voice yelling NOW, NOW, NOW!!!!!! I bolted upright pulled on my boots and made a beeline for the barn. All was eerily quiet but I rushed directly to my filly's stall and flipped on the lights. No rhyme or reason but I had to get to her and her only. I found her cast hard and tight in the corner and no way to get her out. She was lieing exhausted sweaty and groaning but she gently set her head back down and licked her lips comforted I was finally there with her.

By then I was in pure panic mode and was hysterical how to get her loose and I just blanked out. No one around to help and it would have been over an hour for my husband to arrive. I don't know what happened but the next thing I knew she was standing beside me nuzzling for a treat like nothing had happened. I don't recall helping her or her getting up on her own one second she was trapped and the next she was just up standing next to me. I have no recall of what transpired but I honestly think I was given some type of other worldly help that night there was no way I could have extricated an 800 lb animal by myself even if it had been possible to get a rope on her to flip her. I have felt watched over here ever since that incident and I find it kind of comforting when I have to do night checks on the horses.

Really kind of creepy too is that when I tried to post this twice before it didn't post. Third times a charm?
