I was impressed - by the horse for doing that like he did, even with the touches. And by the rider for staying on. That always impresses me, especially when I see myself stay on from an outside view of a camera or something. It never feels as bad as it looks.

Right now the eventers are super critical of rider error, especially ones that almost cause rotational falls, in the XC phase thanks to Lainy Ashker and others. I'm with shiggins on the rider, although the horse is amazing.


There sure is some bad riding/horsemanship giving the sport a bad name these days, and Laine is the fucking poster child.
