haha I want to know how you guys all figured this out? I have some new treats to try...Our horses get sugar cubes after a ride, and the occassional apple core, but that's it. Too many treats seem to make them pushy from expecting more (for our horses anyway)! we do have one horse though (who incidentely HATES small animals, as did his mother---genetics or learned behavior?) who gets one with his bit. He is really tall so my mom taught him to lower his head and accept the bit with a sugar cube. He also gets one, EVERY RIDE, after he is done while he is cooling out. He's really quirky.
