He's not as gimmicky as the others, but the whole "mystic bond with horses" thing makes me gag a little. But whatever. There are so many idiot newbie horseowners out there, whatever it takes to get through to them is okay with me. As long as the trainer sneaks in some practical knowledge, I understand that you've gotta work the magical horsey bond angle with some of these nitwits.

Hey, if lip gloss sells books? I'd wear about a pound of the stuff myself! *grin* Frankly he could dress himself up as the Green Teletubby as long as he was actually helping people with their horses, and I wouldn't care. From what I've heard, his training methods are benign, he trains in all aspects of horse care, there aren't any "carrot sticks" involved, and his horses turn out nicely. If he's getting through to the market of middle aged inexperienced horsewomen who won't get real training elsewhere, then kudos to him.
