If you want a more "warmbloody" type friesian, breed to a stallion like Goffert,

I think Goffert's dead . I like the Proud Meadows Friesians though, and they're approved and showing and they'll use them for crossing. They've got a Friesian Sporthorse named Beau that's Friesian/Holsteiner I think who's done really well with driving, I think he just went to some international driving competition in Poland or something.

The point I tried to make (and failed LOL) was that the people seriously breeding Friesian Sporthorses DON'T seem to be trying to breed a cheap Friesian knock-off, they really seem like they're aiming for something sportier but still with a little Friesian flare. If you look at those farms I mentioned, they don't look like they're trying to do anything cheap anyhow, it's not cheap to import a stallion, or promote one, or pay wbld stud fees, or buy registered mares. They look pretty serious to me.

I wasn't trying to change anyone's opinion, just explain how I understand it.

Also, some of the crosses being talked about on this thread aren't FS's anyhow, they're just crosses. Like the Friesians crossed with Appys and TW's, those aren't FS's. In case anybody cares...
