Six strand electric, spaced about 7-8 inches apart. We even ground the middle wire (which is one they normally hit when they are jumping out) so that they would have contact with a hot & a ground, in case they just weren't getting shocked because all their feet were in the air. I have seen the momma goats stand there are listen to the fence, and jump out in between pulses.

The fence is strong - it tops out our tester at 5. The horses respect it absolutely.

We are going to fence off another area and try a combination field fence, electric. Maybe?????

I don't hate them enough to know that someone is going to eat them. Not yet. I'm going to be starting to try to reclaim my gardens, so maybe in a few weeks I will.....
