At a forum I lurk on, there was a chick who decided she needed the attention. She invented an elaborate story where she, at age sixteen, became pregnant. But no, not just ANY pregnancy. TRIPLETS. Her boyfriend was delighted, and her family was forgiving. At times when she supposedly couldn't get on the forum (it was attached to a virtual game), her boyfriend would log on and manage auctions for her, sales, training of virtual horses, etc, and would post as her boyfriend. At one point in time, she was "away" and her boyfriend came on the forum under her name and asked for ideas for how to propose to her, and show her the brand new barn he was having built for her. Yaaayy, ideas came in. Then later she comes back and talks about how he proposed, and she's getting a horse, and a barn! She already decided on an all natural, mid-wife type birth for the triplets, even tho it would be more dangerous than being in a hospital given her age, this being her first birth, and having triplets.
How she was caught:
People were suspicious anyway, but with nothing to back it up, they didn't say anything. Until the night of the birth. She couldn't have just ANY birth, mind you. She came on-line saying there was a terrible storm out (Scotland) and her water had broken, but no one was able to get to her. Supposedly a tree had fallen in the road, I forget if her boyfriend was home with her and was the one posting, or if he was on the other side of the tree, not that it matters... In any event, she was going to have to be air-lifted out, I believe. I may or may not have had to give birth without the midwife. Oi. Well, she was caught when two natives who also were on the forum said there was no storm, and then when a few other members researched on-line and confirmed there was no storm in that or any other area.
She promptly left without saying anything, and then tried to come back under another username. With the same posting style, the mods looked up the IP and confirmed it was her, and she left all over again.
Yay!
