Yeah, ditto on what GC said. My knee surgery wasn't from an injury, per se. I had what basically amounted to an extra tendon that was pulling my kneecap out of alignment and the kneecap was getting all ground up. They cut the extra tendon, removed scar tissue, and shaved down the kneecap to remove rough edges so there wouldn't be further damage to the joint. I used the brace for about eight hours after the surgery, crutches for a day or two, and was back to jogging short distances on the sixth day. I felt fantastic, and my surgeon said it was totally fine to do as much as I could handle.

You'll be back at it much sooner than you think!
